The problem

The Introduction Of The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA)

In November 2023, the U.S. government introduced the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), mandating the tracking of goods from the time they are received by pharmacies until they reach patients.

This new regulation posed a challenge for pharmacies to update their processes to ensure compliance. However, it also presented a significant opportunity to enhance stock accuracy and improve patient safety by ensuring that only safe products reached patients' hands.

The solution

Enable Product Traceability During The Receiving Process

Implement a system that tracks individual items as they are received, allowing both users and the system to trigger ad-hoc audits, report missing products or overages, and flag suspicious items when necessary."
